Who We Are
We’re two friends — one from China, the other from the US with Taiwanese roots — who grew up sleeping under silk duvets. When we moved abroad, we tried everything from bargain basics to so-called luxury sets, but nothing ever felt the same.
That’s why we started the sīlk: to bring back the comfort we loved and share it with others. Our bedding is made from the finest 100% mulberry silk — responsibly produced, thoughtfully designed, and personally tested by us.
And this is only the beginning.

Your Questions About Silk, Answered
What makes silk bedding different from cotton or linen?
Silk’s ultra-smooth fibers offer softness you won’t find in cotton or linen. It naturally regulates temperature, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter. Silk is also hypoallergenic, resisting dust mites and allergens — a comfort for sensitive skin.
What are the beauty benefits of sleeping on mulberry silk?
Silk reduces friction, helping to prevent wrinkles, frizz, and hair breakage. It also retains natural moisture, so you wake up with hydrated skin and smooth, shiny hair.
Is silk good for my skin?
Yes. Silk helps skin stay hydrated, minimizes sleep creases, and is gentle on sensitive skin. Its natural properties also make it less likely to harbor bacteria.
Is silk good for my hair?
Absolutely. Silk reduces frizz, tangles, and breakage while maintaining your hair's natural oils and shine. It works beautifully for all hair types.
Are your silk products hypoallergenic?
Yes. 100% mulberry silk naturally resists dust mites, mold, and bacteria without the need for harsh chemicals.
How do I care for my silk products?
For silk-filled duvets: no washing needed — just air them twice a year and spot clean as necessary. Store folded in a cool, dry place.
For sheets, pillowcases, and sleep masks: wash in cool water with silk-safe detergent, use a delicate cycle or hand wash, and air dry away from direct sun.
Is silk easy to wash?
Yes. Our silk pillowcases and sheets are machine washable on a gentle, cold cycle in a mesh bag. Skip bleach and fabric softeners, and air dry to keep them looking their best.
What is OEKO-TEX® certification?
OEKO-TEX® is an independent safety standard ensuring textiles are free from harmful substances. Our silk meets the strictest Product Class 1 standard.
